IN 1844, Henry David Thoreau translated a passage from the French translation of the Lotus Sutra (Saddharmapundarikasutra) for Dial magazine. With Thoreau's translation and commentary America commenced its dialog on Buddhism.
UDUMBARA FOUNDATION is a non-profit, Buddhist foundation following the tradition of Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism, believing in Namu-myoho-renge-kyo as the true Law and Nichiren Daishonin as the True Buddha.
